We recently acquired a Nidek AFC 230 retinal camera. With this high tech instrument we now have the ability to take high resolution digital pictures of the inside of your eye. These photos can be very valuable in diagnosing and managing certain diseases that affect the retina and other structures in the eye. It is painless, requires no extra eye drops, and takes less than five minutes.

Some disorders that can be detected and managed with retinal photography include:
Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Hypertension Retinopathy, Retina Tears/Detachments.

We recommend that every patient have retinal photographs taken.
